Individual Training Opportunities

At St. John’s Football Club, our primary focus is structured team training within the Dutch Development Model. However, some players may benefit from additional individual technical work outside of team sessions.

Private training is optional and intended to support individual development, but it is not required for success within the SJFC development pathway.

Private and Small Group Training Through Good Lad Soccer

St. John’s Football Club has partnered with Good Lad Soccer to provide optional private and small-group training opportunities for players seeking additional technical development outside of team training.

These sessions are designed to supplement the structured training environment of the SJFC Dutch Development Model, providing players with additional repetition and focused technical work.

Good Lad Soccer sessions focus on:

• Ball mastery
• First touch and receiving
• Passing technique
• Finishing
• Position-specific technical work

Sessions are designed to complement SJFC training, not replace it.

Waiver and Release of Liability

By participating in private training sessions organized by St. John’s Football Club (“SJFC”), I acknowledge and understand that soccer training and related physical activities involve inherent risks — including, but not limited to, slips, falls, collisions, and other conditions that may result in injury, illness, or property damage.

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any such risks and for any resulting injury, illness, or loss that may occur to myself or my child while participating in, observing, or traveling to and from these activities.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge SJFC, its officers, directors, coaches, staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands for damages of any kind — including those arising from the ordinary negligence of SJFC or its representatives.

This waiver does not apply to claims resulting from gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

I understand that participation in these private training sessions constitutes my acknowledgment and acceptance of this release and all associated risks.

Florida Statutory Notice (Minor Participants)
WARNING: UNDER FLORIDA LAW, AN INDIVIDUAL WHO SIGNS A WAIVER OF INHERENT RISKS IS PRESUMED TO HAVE ASSUMED THOSE RISKS AND IS BARRED FROM RECOVERING DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THOSE RISKS. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT.

Emergency Care Authorization
In the event of injury or medical emergency, I authorize SJFC staff or volunteers to obtain medical care on my or my child’s behalf. I understand that this authorization does not create a duty to provide care, and that I remain responsible for all related medical expenses.
